Books "Why Gender Matters" and "The Female Brain" are full of lies
Over at the Language Log, they appear to have taken up the hobby to analyzing two books, Leonard Sax's Why Gender Matters: What parents and teachers need to know about the emerging science of sex differences and Louann Brizendine's The Female Nrain. The two books both posit that male and female brains are so radically different that we need to treat men and women radically different. Why Gender suggests segregated schools. Both books claim to be very scientific and full of citations. The Language Log has been investigating those citations. The Language Log is generally polite, attributing things to "misreadings" and "accidents." However, the evidence is pretty damning: both authors are liars who blatently misrepresent research by other to support their conclusions. They have no real evidence for their claims. This sickens me. I hate people who abuse science to create fake support for their beliefs. Louann and Leonard are terrible human beings.
